My Star Fields series was Comissioned by Signal Film and Media as part of their Artist Development Lab.

The work was shown in their Artist Lab Exhibition - 28 November 2025 - 31 January 2026.

This expansive exhibition marks the culmination of 2 years of artist development, experimentation, and deep ecological enquiry as part of SIGNAL’s Artist Development Lab.

Liam Collins’ Star Fields (2025) transforms grains of sand from Walney Island into a new galaxy through photograms, questioning scale and the truthfulness of photography.

“By scattering Walney Island sand across film and developing a negative, photographer Liam Collins raises vertiginous questions of scale in ‘Star Fields’ (2025), where every grain is a star in a new galaxy.
